Re: Heathrow EXTREME released!

Looks nice, this'll be one of the primary reason FS9 stays on this PC :). I was curious about the 100% NONE Gmax models ? statement, surely it makes no difference what software you use, it all has to pass through MakeMDL ?. Will try the free version tonight, gonna look fwd to this :), I dont buy muc...

Re: Flight Deck 5

Truth be told, I'm pretty ticked off with the blasé attitude by a lot of publishers about carriers, "a carrier is a carrier", "no one really cares about how good a carrier is", "why are you adding all that detail when its only a floating airport", "just stick any o...

Welcome to the future, I bet a few other developers will be watching this price hike as well.

Re: AFG BAe 146/Avro RJ our next project!

Rick, I don't think these people actually want to move on, they're quite happy to take years to continue to develop for FS9. In FS9 everyone could have a go and reach a modicum of experience and success with in there spare time envelopes, FSx changed all that, models are more complex, take longer to...

Re: AFG BAe 146/Avro RJ our next project!

thats a shame & we already have 3 146 models in that sim. why are so many good modellers scared to move forwards :dunno: especially when they model in 3DSMax. 3ds is about half the work of FSDS3 into FSX and i can manage it. I'll end up building my own at this rate :worried: Rick :-# You'll pro...

Re: AFG BAe 146/Avro RJ our next project!

some times a gold color That'll be gold, at least it is in the Lynx. So there's always some scrap value... Indeed Gold film seems quite popular as a screen heater, I'm not sure what metal they use that gives the purple hues though ?, probably some exotic cocktail made up from the higher end of the ...

Windscreen heaters...applied to virtually all aircraft windscreens and most modern trains. Usually shows up as a pink or purple hue, some times a gold color, depends if its a film or strip heater. Nice effect though :) Now I can wheel mine back, thats the beauty of having about ten projects on the g...

That depends on your level of enthusiasm to fix it ;-) , everything is fixable if you really need it.

Re: Forums down

It is no secret that Phil tolerates the forums at arms length, the recent furors elsewhere may well be a deciding factor in there continued closure. I did ask internally and the reply I got was the the forums went down due to a technical reason at the server, just like many others did around the glo...

Re: FSX 146's

That looks superb :) I'll wait for someone else to ask the dreaded "will it work in FS9" question :D It was originally set for FS9 but I've almost totally moved over to FSx, I have a job remembering which day of the week it is, let alone how to model and compile for two totally different ...
