Re: Learning to paint...

Thanks, guys I haven't abandoned it...just been away for the Easter weekend. I have managed a little progress 1. Horizontal stabiliser is now white. 2. Slightly darkened lower fuselage, allowing white stripe to show more clearly 3. Added 'Royal Dutch Airlines'' titling in white stripe 4. Added 'Day-...

WOW, Garry

If you can model that, you must be able to model anything.

That's amazing.

Re: Learning to paint...

Thanks, Garry I colour matched the paint to another KLM repaint (not my own), using Photoshop elements. I find the white band below the deep blue difficult to see (it is there). Perhaps this will improve when I add the 'Royal Dutch airlines' lettering. I've also, finally got the hang of using layers...

Learning to paint...

Hi Guys I had been looking for a KLM DC-9-30 for AI for some time. Not having had any luck, I set out this morning to see what I could do. Having never even attempted to paint a flightsim model before, it was a slow process. after a while, though it started to look ok http://homepage.ntlworld.com/k....

Re: Arthur C Clarke RIP

Deeply saddened by the news. As a great fan of Sir Arthur’s novels (I have read most of them), I was a ware that he was much more than a writer. He was also a physicist and credited with the invention of the communications satellite. The thought of no more of his genius writings is hard to take. Now...

Re: Awareness Test

Oh well...at least I got the 13 passes right :-(

Then again, when driving I look out for cyclists (even if they can't be bothered to make themselves visible), not moonwalking bears.

Re: Air France buying Alitalia

I suppose that the EU won't even bat an eyelid.

Had BA merged with KLM and then tried to take over Alitalia, it would have been blocked.
Not that I'm any fan of BA.

Re: Testing, testing

Stunning shot, John.

G-BBDG was the first Concorde that I saw land at EGLL.
My Dad had taken me, plus some school friends for a day at Heathrow as a birthday treat.
I would have been around 11 or 12, making it 1975/76.

Many thanks

Re: A Little Video....

Thanks, John.

Sorry I missed the other fly-ins. I was late back from work, after a couple of meetings ran on.
I think I have a Skype compatible Headphone / Microphone set, but may need a little advice setting it up.

Look forward to further flying.

Cheers
