Re: Still practicing
...not forgetting the old "Use it or lose it" as well! Recently returned to jets (Comet, 1-11) after weeks away and it's not so much the procedures that take a while to return but those aircraft-specific touches, e.g. by how much to nudge throttles up/down, when to start/stop turning while...

Airports have disappeared...!!
Hi all, I recently started flying overseas again (i.e. to and from the UK), only to find that some airports out there seem to've disappeared since I last visited them (weeks if not months ago)...!! So far, the areas I've found to be affected are Spain (much if not most if not all of it), Italy (not ...

Re: Airspeed Ambassador for FSX out now!
This is great news. Much of my flying since the start of the year has been in one of Rob's other creations, the Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer -- which works fine in FSX SP2 -- and I've been enjoying it while enjoying the UK VFR scenery and buildings I've collected. And now, just as I've begun wonde...

Re: Bugger First penalty!!!!!
This is one thing I don't like about FSX. I dunno if it's a default thing or just the way I've saved a flight but my FSX flights never start with the parking brake on. That's very odd. Never seen that here, whether starting or loading flights that use native FSX aircraft or (as is usually the case)...

Re: Accu-feel
Thanks for the heads-up and feedback. Intrigued, I decided to take the plunge and purchase. The result thus far: On the ground and for a few thousand feet above it does produce the kind of feel I thought FSX was missing, but, with the aircraft I've tried so far (TwinPin, HS780 and Comet), all start ...

Re: Bugger First penalty!!!!!
Irritating, isn't it, especially after a long flight and you're sure you've dotted every "i", crossed every "t", etc, etc... But if for whatever reason (Internet glitch?) the FSA database has you down as committing a sin, even if you're sure you didn't, I think it'll be left as i...

Re: help getting started
Hi Paul, By making your post here, you've (unknowingly) requested the training flights you desire -- one of the "powers-that-be" (DaveB, David Maltby (DM or MALTBY D), etc) should spot it anon and activate them for you accordingly. Then, when you try to book one again, you should see it's ...
