On this Day in History... 49 years ago today

Post by John »

It was by all accounts a miserable wet day. It had been raining and there was a lot of water on the tarmac as the prototype Vickers Vanguard was made ready for her maiden flight. :welldone:

I hope I've done her justice in these shots.

Kind regards

John

I think he might be a witch. We need to see if he floats. ;-)

Seriously though, John, you really have surpassed yourself here. I love the way the light is filtering down inside the hangar. You can almost hear your own foot falls as you walk out into that silent half-lit space and that huge aircraft. Absolutely lovely !

I knew this was going to happen but had not seen any shots before now. Superlatives seem completely inadequate :o I'll make sure that the 'crew' get to see these screenies John. Worthy of print for sure as is all of your work ;-)

I like the Hanger one, especially the way the floodlights look, and the light coming through the sky lights as well, just watch out for pigeons, mates
