I find the GR3 kind'a endearing in an odd way. It seemed fitting to use our frontline European theatre 'Cold War' jet for the Fylingdales shots. Pretty.. well no.. not really. Prettier than the Williams sisters in tennis though. Function over form :lol:

Ah the GR3, one of my favourite cold war machines Dave, only piped to the post by its sibling the Sea Harrier FRS1. I always thought it was a worthy descendant of the Hurricane, more form and function than appearance but the perfect answer to the job it needed to fill the shoes off. Fitting in that Sidney Camm the designer of the Hurricane also had a significant input in the Harrier prototype as well :thumbsup:
