Nice screenies Aharon. Ahh, Helsinki. Back in the pre Y2K days Mrs. FlyTexas was an IT employee with Nokia. She was told she needed to fly from Dallas to Helsinki, in the dead of winter, for new Microsoft Exchange training. She flew from Dallas to Gatwick on one of BA's "World Tail" 777's titled 'Delftblue Daybreak'. http://www.airliners.net/photo/British- ... 4zdQ%3D%3D From Gatwick she flew onto Helsinki on a BA jet which she referred to as a "tiny jet". This was a 737. "Go to work in the dark, leave work in the dark." That was Mrs. FlyTexas' view of Finland in the winter. Anyway... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baHsoEAAMZU

TSR2,
Thanks for kind words. It is good old fashioned POSKY model.
TSR2,
????? I thought the CBFS forums' rules are that screenshots of only British classic planes should be in Gallery subforum and screenshots of NON British classic planes should be in Escorts and Stewards subforum. Have the rules changed this month?
FlyTexas,
Interesting facts!!! Hope your wife was not freezing in Finland during nights in middle of winter!! I flew from America to Helsinki via Finnair MD-11 crossing North Pole!! Driving rented car from airport to hotel in center of Helsinki was totally impossible considering there were no traffic signs and no highway signs!!! When I finally arrived at the hotel after finding an airport bus to follow it from the airport to center of Helsinki where I could use city street map to find way to hotel, I asked the hotel check in reception desk why there were no traffic signs and highway signs from the airport to the city. They simply replied that it was intentional by the Finnish government who did not want to give easy traffic and highway directions to Russian tanks in case Russia decided to invade Russia.
Can you believe that? By the way, Finnish hotels' hotel rooms' bathrooms had heated towel racks. How cool was that? First time I had heated or warmed up towels!

Aharon

FlyTexas,
Glad that your wife enjoyed my post!
One thing I forgot to tell you. When I arrived at Helsinki on Saturday for start of 2 week vacations, I was totally surprised to see Helsinki totally empty as if it was ghost town. I asked the hotel staff where Helsinki residents were. The hotel staff said that during summers, Helsinki residents always fled the capital city for Finnish countyside for weekends and they were always back to Helsinki for work days!!!

Hi Aharon,
You're right! I completely forgot about this (it was late here in the UK). I'll leave these for now, but you were correct to post them where you did. Sorry.☺

TSR2,
One thing I forgot to tell you about interpretation of screenshot rules is that any non British classic planes are allowed in the Gallery screenshot subforum as long as they are in classic British airline liveries. For instance, Lockheed L1011 might be non British classic plane but it is allowed on the Gallery as long as it is in Court livery or BCAL livery or any classic British airline livery.
