Hm, you all seem to assume I'm a fair-weather gardening type - not so. 
What's been taking up my time & energy is the rebuilding of a garden brick wall (which fell over about 3 years ago) and laying lots of slabs.
I'm not allowed to handle secateurs etc. - that's management's department.
