David M's 1-11 in P3d v4.3

Post by Vc Ten »

I thought long and hard about moving to p3d or xp I downloaded the xp demo, and found it a fine sim graphically superior than fsx and very smooth with no scenery popping I could get over 50 frame sec with sliders set to fsx equivalent with something light and down to mid teens with all sliders to the right and summat heavy
However the controls and interface were somewhat alien and with the investment in fsx which hopefully will migrate it really was a no brainer
Happy so far, initial settings were giving over 100 frame sec :-O now locked to 30 only installed free mesh and aerosoft and
Uk 2000 airports all via the xml method

Converted dm's 1-11 with Bjoerns fsx modifications a few months ago and with a couple of 64 bit gauge mods it runs great in v4.3

Many thanks to Bjoern for the work in bringing David's creation into the modern age

It goes to show, a well designed aircraft with an eye to the future. The gift that keeps on giving. Love it.
