Flying the Zibo Mod!

Post by Nigel H-J »

This is a truly great aircraft to fly and is by all accounts payware quality, thanks Paul for reminding me about this! Great to have the option of HUD!

On approach to East Midlands flying manually with HUD down as on check ride with training captain well, only pretending really. 8)

Approaching turn off point and yes.........It is Ryanair :$

NIgel, great pics, looks like you're having fun there. Well, as much fun as anyone is likely to have with Ryanair.

I've yet to do a flight with the Zibo 737, and I've got to relearn this FMC malarky once more. I was fine with the PMDG MD-11 one, but have forgotten most of it.

I think a good indication as to how good this model is would be to check out the YT channel flightdeck2sim

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ_X7k ... 6ZWQ4wpfkQ

Chap there is a genuine 737 airline pilot (verified) and he has no truck with MSFS variations and PMDG since this came out.

One thing I have noticed about the Zibo Mod is the FMC, I cannot work out how to import a saved flight plan! It appears completely different from the X Plane default one. Looks like long evenings studying.

Yes mate, you and me both. I've just been watching a live stream on that Youtube channel Alex posted, and it really brought home how little I really know.

By the way I installed that free upgrade for the default Baron this morning, and went for a flight from Cambridge down to south of London and then to the Bristol channel, all above TE GB South. The immersion was extraordinary - one of the most absorbing flightsim sessions I've had in a long time. Really enjoying XP at the moment.
