Mach Loop Cad Pass

Having a peruse saw the Mach Loop comparisons and thought I'd share some I did myself.
This is the A487 passing the foot of Cadair Idris and more commonly known as the Cad Pass:
(XP and P3D are Orbx TE)
In other areas there are too many trees, and an absence of trees where there should be some, such as above Dinas Mawddwy.
I'm back in P3D/XP for now, mostly due to missing VR and helicopters

Thanks Andy, very useful comparism. I fly from Compton Abbas and the grass length shown in MSFS 2020 is far too long.

I see, way too many trees in MSFS, and I really don't like the green road surface.

And they reduced the tree count in either the last patch or the one before. There are still far too many trees so three fellers are desperately needed.

there is an addon that strips the excess trees from Snowdonia.
Snowdonia deforestation I think.

Thanks for that Rick. Duly downloaded. That's a great site for FS2020 resources!

Many thanks Rick, that has helped a lot.
Now need an add-on that does the opposite and places trees in the big black patches!

Same here!
Many thanks for the screenshots. They highlight the terrible terrain [mesh] in XP11, which Orbx did little to improve. MSFS does a lot better, but I believe the architecture of the scenery engine has a lot in common with XP, in that bespoke terrain can only be added in degree tiles or similar (outside of airfields at least), meaning we're largely at the mercy of what MS
et al deliver online as default (I hope I'm wrong, so please correct me if I am!). Their terrain is good enough in most areas that the vast majority of users (esp. those flying airliners!) will be happy... but in some parts of the world it is atrocious (even where better, free, non-Google terrain is available)! Hopefully MS will improve things over time. For now I still love FSX/P3D for its ability to accept bespoke terrain down to 1m resolution.

Looking North back towards the "Cross Foxes" where the right turn onto the A487 is into the Cad when entering from Barmouth estuary
Looking South down towards Tall-y-Llyn lake with Corris Corner 2nd valley on the left(Albert pulled a great 80-90*bank in the turn)
No trees at all in the Cad.
