Garry

Wycombe AIr Park done up to look like Brooklands
Most of the AIr to Air stuff was filmed around Old Warden
location stuff was done per the book - ever counted how many Tiger Moths
there are in the cross channel scene?

I had to dig to get it - But as I may have mentioned before
Delly Gray-Fisk flew the Demoselle several times in the movies
as she was the only one light enough. And I have clear memories of
she and Air Commode Wheeler going back and forth from LTN-Wycombe in
his Auster

Cheers

What I really need are pictures of the BAC flight test sheds (built in the 1960s) on the west side, the other factories and sheds to the east and south east of them (behind and around the tower), and the other cluster of buildings by Brooklands road. The tower itself still stands (will have to find a volunteer to do a recce one weekend :-$ ) and of course all the buildings up at the museum end I have already photographed.

Took me a while to find it, but much appreciated Toby! Thanks!
TobyVickers wrote:Hawker P.1127... not really sure why Brooklands has various Hawker types - I assume some work was subcontracted to Vickers/BAC? Or it could be because theres nothing left at Kingston or Dunsfold now?
Early Hawker designs were test flown from Brooklands, and in later years it became a part of BAC which obviously had offices at Brooklands. That's the basics as I understand them!
Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.

Thanks for the thought
