Scans of old photos from the loft!

Post by Trev Clark »

One of the great things about moving is the way you come across old photos.
These are some of the ones taken by my father between 1963-67. A trip to Heathrow (Queens Building roof terrace) was an annual summer holiday treat for me.

Tridents are G-ARPD and PJ (on first glance I thought it was the infamous G-ARPI involved in the Staines disaster).

The Buccs are a FAA display at Farnborough, I think.

Thanks for posting Calypso!

I am and always will be a huge Trident fan, so it was nice to see a picture of them.

Nice piccies Trev. It's brought home to me how much things have really changed; living under the Heathrow & Gatwick flightpaths, we used to have a real variety flying over, including absolute oodles of props (presumable Budgies and Britannias) - these days it all jets, the only 'propellor' noise you here is the local constabulary taking their eggbeater out to chase another miscreant.

Even nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
