A Maltby Moment

Post by speedbird591 »

I had a Maltby Moment today and spent the afternoon doing circuits and bumps at LHR with some of the fleet. Nice day for it!

Wonderful pictures Ian, certainly gives an atmoshere with those VC10s'

Talking about circuits and bumps when at Scampton some Vulcans were dispersed at RAE Bedford on exercise and I had to go down with spares for one of the Vulcans, if I remeber correctly, was that not used for BOAC training as I watched a VC10 doing circuits and bumps followed by a Trident.

The Vulcan crews, to kill time, were just down from the threshold with a big board and marking up scores for the approach and landings that the pilots made!!
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.
