Stratocruiser on the way

Post by John »

Hardly any info on their site at the moment, but Shockwave (now called A2A simulations) have a Stratocruiser on the way.

http://www.shockwaveproductions.com/

Sadly (for me) it's seems to just be FSX

Kind regards

That's the one they showed here recently with a tail beacon like a lighthouse.

Well..they wanted us to guess what it was which took about a millisecond

Pregnant Guppy sounds more interesting

You will be pleased to know the tail beacon has been tamed down considerably since those early WIP photos Garry. ;-)

The 377 is almost done and we are just tidying up all the other bits and pieces like the operating manual and the self installer and preparing the webpage for the release.

Hi Larry

I was hoping you would say that :)

I hope it is compatable with whatever comes after FSX, that way I will buy it! I have always had a soft spot for 'guppy' types, not sure why

I think so Leif

Surely all Startocruiser pilots look like that just as all 707 pilots should look like Carlton Heston with Dean Martin as co-pilot

The Co-pilot shouts out "Easy on the throttles!" as I push them too much, the engineers in my ear about high temps and were still falling, number three's out and were trailing smoke, I've sweat dripping from my head, its in my eyes, squinting I can make out the runway. But its too late, the speed is low and I think I'm stalling, the co-pilot calls out the altitude, and the last thing before the black screen is a scream as the passengers look out of the window.

...I should have read the manual. I didn't program any failures for this flight....

Unfortunately without FSX all this aircraft is, is a 3d model, pretty or otherwise (naturally you decide!). Add in FSX, unlock its features and add a bit of extra coding from us and you get yourself a simulation CHEERS

Ill update you guys with more screen shots soon. But right now since I'm now in Suffolk I might have to go on an R Piper hunt :D
