Heads Up - Beware!

Post by davem »

Hi all,

although I don't feel 100% right criticising someone else's efforts (with my hundreds of offerings under my belt  , er Ok so just Fairford then), as it's payware I think a quick 'warning notice' is justified...

I had a quick scan down the latest Flightsim Pilot shop email today and clicked on the EagleSim link at the bottom to see what the offerings of the US Mil Airbases were like.

I'll leave you to judge for yourselves, but if the screenies are anything to go by, this has to be possibly the worst $12.95 anyone could ever spend?

The developer certainly likes cones doesn't he  I got an email (flyer) from Pilot Shop yesterday I think and sent it straight to file 13 without looking :)

TBH.. that scenery isn't worth a penny let alone 12 bucks 95  To say it was poor is totally inadequate.. perhaps an Anglo-Saxon translation would be more fitting ;-) Sadly, some poor sod'll buy this and consider it a good deal.. no one from here I hope

I like the review..
Lots of eye candy and working part within the download, and a small impact on FPS
Yep I agree low impact on frame rates due to the fact theres bugger all there!!, not sure about the eye candy unless the reviewer was putting eye drops in at the time??

My review...Bag of shyte.... :fart:
Like it has been said I will never critisize freeware unless pushed, but payware..well if they want my money it has to be useful, good and interesting, this misses all three by a huge margin...

No Garry....

The developers are obviously restricted for reasons of international security.....

Glad I didn't make the first reply on this one :-#

I've not laughed so much in a long time

I think the reviewer must like cones too as that's the only eye-candy I can see  BTW.. the cones are off the main road through Bracknell. I expect em to be back on Wed when I go to Brooklands

I feel a comment may be deemed inappropriate. Food for thought though.
