Hi John, the Skysim Hawk uses a gauge to unbrick the model, and that type of gauge is no longer supported. There are a fleet of Shorts 360, 330, Sherpa and Skyvans for AI which have all been updated. JYAI models (the latest FSX ones) all seem to work fine, including Phantoms, Harriers (including the VTOL ones) Canberra,Victors, lightnings.

JY's Hunters are a better choice than mine for AI.

Thanks for your replies

Rick, I'm happy to wait as I know it will be sorted. I can still fly it in v3.

TSR2, I will try the Shorts fleet for AI. I found the JYAI models excellent and especially like the VTOL Harriers.

DaveG, I only use your hunters for flying, not AI. As you say the JY ones are very good.

Thanks again

John

Wow, that sounds like you're proposing a TacPack update to the Hawk Rick, alongside P3D4 compatibility?!

Stupid question time - well it has to be from me. I'm transferring aircraft from P3D 3 to 4 with varying degrees of success. Am I right in thinking that only 'pure' FSX aircraft will transfer without problems?

My lady says I should stop swearing at the PC as it is "only a hobby" - they don't understand do they?

As ever, any pearls of wisdom will be gratefully received.

Fs9 port overs will not work. FSX aircraft that use dll or gau gauges will not work properly. Aircraft that only use XML gauges should work OK.

Thanks Dave, I sort of guessed that but it's always nice to have confirmation. It will make life easier as I needn't try and transfer the FS9 stuff and I will check for XML gauges.
