Re: Prepard3D v4
I presume then it should be downloaded then not loaded till the bugs become apparent?

Re: Prepard3D v4
Looks like Pete Dowson has released FSUIPC 5.103 with hotfix 1 support.
Reports from Avsim indicate the latest ASP4 beta works as well.
Not tried either yet myself.

Well highlight for me, and the ground crew at Newcastle is that they are no longer standing on their heads!

Re: Prepard3D v4
I downloaded the hotfix this morning (I woke up way too early). I had to remember to uninstall the old P3D content/client before re-installing the new one, and then I had to reopen the Orbx FTX client to have it re-load the scenery. For the most part some good fixes. One thing I noticed, if you load an incompatible aircraft it tends to lock up P3D and I have had to switch out and force kill it. Its not a huge problem since that aircraft wont work anyways but it does slow down testing all those aircraft I am trying to re-import.

Re: Prepard3D v4
Anything to do with Doug Dawson's sound gauge Dave, which has now been updated for v4?
Oh and how are those v4 rain effects coming along? Any screenshots to show?

Re: Prepard3D v4
Hi mate, yes, Dougs updated gauge should work with the Auster now, although I haven't checked it myself yet. The paths in the panel.cfg & Austersounds.ini may need altering a bit depending where you've got things installed.
Being able to install aircraft etc more or less anywhere can be a real pain for devs. At least with X you knew where things were!
Not fiddled with the VC rain any more, too many other things to do.

Re: Prepard3D v4
Thanks Dave.
Your Auster installs dsd_xml_sound3.gau into the P3D Gauges folder. I deleted this, downloaded Doug Dawson's new 64 bit sound gauge (SOH link below) into the same Gauges folder and renamed it dsd_xml_sound3.dll
I haven't tested it yet, but hopefully that'll get around changing any other names/paths. More later...

Re: Prepard3D v4
I flight tested with the new sound DLL and it seemed to work a treat!
She also looks great in VR in V4!
