FSaddons Ansons in P3D4?

Post by spatialpro »

Before I buy them can anyone confirm that the FSaddons Ansons are fully functional in P3D4 please?

Many thanks

Andy, this thread started with the FS Add Ons Hudson, but I asked the question about their Anson's P3Dv4 compatibility on page 2

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=30512&start=10

According to Simondix, all will be well with both packages. :)

Works in P3Dv4.2 but so does the Aircraft Factory version.

Many thanks for your replies chaps! :)

Based on the response I went ahead and bought it. I like it very much (tho some baked-in AO shading would be a real bonus).

Yes, it is a good package, but some of the default paint jobs let it down a little. Our very own Peter Watkins has done some excellent repaints for it, if you're interested.

Both available at Flightsim.com - search for Peter Watkins Anson. There's quite a number of them. :)

Indeed, I immediately downloaded the one for Avro XIX G-AWRS in her colours with Kemps Aerial Surveys, which I expect I shall be flying around in A LOT!!! I do love the old aerial survey companies (Kemps, Faireys, Hunting, BKS, Aerofilms etc. etc.)...

Truth be told it is really only the XIX I wanted out of this package.

Any ideas if and how to change the layout in the cabin, other than default passenger seats??? After all, the Ansons were extremely versatile!

BTW, what scenery are you using there??? Looks nice!

Hi Andy,

I don't think the internal lay-out can be changed, unfortunately - unless I've missed something. Simon Smeiman puts a lot of little ckick-spots and animations in his models ( e.g. the hatch/astrodome in the Hudson ) but I think the seats are fixed in the Mk.19 Anson.

Scenery above is Orbx England and Orbx EGTR Elstree. :)

Talking of the Anson (albeit in FS-X), does anyone know if there's a fix for the faulty generator lights warning (they are illuminated when they should be off) and for the faulty generator switch labelling (the engine 2 switch uses a "cabin light" label. I raised it at the FS Add On forum ages ago but without any apparent reaction.
