Rip-off FS shop warning

Post by Paul K »

This warning was posted on Facebook by Flight Replicas:

A warning that there is a scam FS addon site presently up and running: https://fs-addons.com/ .

Purchasers will be giving their credit card and other financial and personal information to thieves.

Needless to say, all aircraft depicted on this site, assuming they actually have them, are stolen.

Please spread the word

The site looks genuine, but some of the offers are a bit odd, particularly that '9 in 1' value bundle. *-)

Thanks for the warning Paul have put it up at the Orbx Forum.

Went to have a look at the site then got a pop-up saying How to unblock push notification from Google!!! Came straight out of it.

Regards
Nigel.

Hi Mike, don't think that there are automatic traps even though I fled when I got that pop up from Google. Think it was the site trying to get you to follow instructions so that you remove your security settings which I would never do!

After putting the warning up at Orbx Nick Cooper from Orbx wrote:
Thanks. I saw the warning also. A few checks will show that the aircraft are either old freeware that is available from the usual sources at no cost or stolen from payware developers. The site FS addons is presumably an attempt to mimic the genuine FSaddon site.
So he obviously had made a trip into the unknown without any problems however, I assume that only if you purchase you end up fleeced good and proper!! :OB:

Nigel.
