When you think this is designed to run on an xBox as well as PC’s the specs can’t be that high. The video last week was captured from an Xbox One X which is a lot less powerful than my pc.

Here is an interesting video update, one thing I did not know but you may already know that this simulator is being developed for Microsoft by Asobo Studio!! Nonetheless, I found this video extremely good and informative.

Took the leap and purchased a new PC with 2020 in mind.
Specs are;
i9 9900 16 cores at 5Ghz
RTX 2080TI
32GB ram
M2 1Tb ssd
3 monitors.
ORBX England
Load is spread across 12 cores
With P3DV4 over London I am getting 10 fps.
Now downloading XPlane to see if there is any improvement on what is currently available.
FS9 looks ok though!
If this is the best that P3DV4 can do then I will waste no more money on it.
Will report back.

Well I get higher frame rates than that over TE London, with a lower spec machine, but you don't say how you're got your sliders set, or which aircraft, or other add-ons.

Sorry Dave, my settings are all mid position and using the Carenado C337 as aircraft.
Minimum shadows, unlimited frame rates
FXAA off
2 x MSAA
Anistropic 4x
Texture resolution high
V Sync on
Texture resolution 15 cm
Mess resolution 5m
Water detail medium
Special effects low
Add ons are ORBX England, no weather default London City airport

I installed the Alpha last weekend. The rules of the NDA prevent me from saying how impressed I was, but I did just order a new m2 SSD to install it on.
One thing I will describe, the program needed to install it, the 'Xbox Insider Hub' required me to update my system to the latest version of Windows 10.

Mine is very similar, with ORBX England and identical settings, flying from LCY at 500ft up the Thames and around London I'm getting in the region of 35FPS!
