The only minor problems I have had with v5 are:

slight tearing of scenery but it really is slight and happened to me twice over the past week. It is just a flicker on the bottom of the screen and then gone and we are back to normal. I cannot make it happen so it is one our favourite 'intermittent' faults.

the second abnormality is road traffic in the sky! Initially I thought it was a line of dark hills in the far distance but it never gets any closer and only when I wound up the magnification did I realise what it is/was. The line is in silhouette and stays at a set distance ahead. At some point in the flight it goes without a farewell or thanks for the ride 8)

Any one else get either of the above?

And now a question; I have the zoom rate set as 80%, it is what I am comfortable with. V5 seems to have a hair trigger when it comes to the zoom - I can be dialling in a new altitude or whatever on the panel only to find that my zoom has jumped to 3x. Any one else got this and how do you desensitise the zoom - this has never happened in previous versions of P3D or FS.

As ever a plain brown envelope will be left in the usual place for the best workaround.

I have road traffic turned off anyway, so I don't see that, but I have read reports from others that see the same problem.

Quite like v5 so far. It's obvious there are quite a few bugs which is to be expected but some of those should never had made it into a released product. Bit of a rushed release me thinks. *-)
As I said though, I do like it overall. The new atmospherics show great potential and the improvement in overall performance is welcome.

Agreed.

Reported bugs so far:

Does not like multiple monitors (CTD)

When flying at low level the aircraft hits an unseen obstacle and stops

Elevation problems around airports with or without scenery addons

Difficulties with AI causing sim to hang

Undocking window causes pointer to reset to middle of main screen and mousewheel does not work

Moving radio antenna

Airborne road traffic

Cloud shadows poor

Anyone tried to calibrate their controllers yet?

Perhaps pressure from FS2020 could be an underlying cause.

Bit naughty methinks.

Multi monitors haven't caused a CTD for me yet, but I only use one for FS itself & the other for other programs, unless flying in vr.
I use fsuipc for controls so can't comment on the calibration issue.

On a brighter note my Cessna trim wheel now works without CTD!

I finally got around to installing ORBX TE-GBS and did a test flight over London, Mostly default settings except Autogen set to max and I have to say I was impressed. FPS averaged around 20 but it was pretty smooth, no stutters or blurries in my test flight over London, EGLC to EGWU in the default Maule. In V4.5 it was terrible but this I think is more than acceptable.

Thanks Dave.

I can never understand the download/install iunstructions.

Do I have to unload and then reinstall or just the cl.ient.

I don't know why they don't just package what is required in one fix file.

Apparently it's advised to do a complete uninstall-reinstall this time. Haven't done it myself yet, I'll do it over the weekend.
