In the end I took my own advice (!) and subscribed to X-Box Game Pass for PC for £1, so I can check out the Standard Edition for the month before deciding if I was Deluxe or Premium Deluxe.

I understand it is officially released in Italy in approximately 10 hours, which would be 9 or 10pm UK time. Does anyone know if this is correct? Any ideas what time it releases in the UK?

Thats the time when you'll be able to launch the main program and begin the real download which will take hours. To set some expectation, the Standard edition which was used in the alpha was 76GB before you included any of the streamed scenery (which you can set up to cache on your machine).

Apparently if you purchased via Steam MSFS becomes available at 5am UK time. If you bought via Microsoft it is Midnight UK time:

1GB down, 95 to go.

Mine was initially stuck on the blue progress bar (which is before the downloading starts) so I killed it, waited a minute, then started again and its coming down at a fair rate.

How did you kill it? Mine is in full screen and it doesn't respond to the mouse.

Hmm, I don't kow how I did it, but:

ALT + Enter George, then you'll get the windowed mode with the cross in the top right. :cpu:

Its actually coming down much quicker than the Beta / Alpha. I'm getting nearly all of the 200 Mb from Virgin Media
