Developer Q&A from earlier today, lots of interesting information.

Also some interesting comments from Mathijs at Aerosoft earlier this week too. Given they make addons for all of the current major simulators he has a lot to say, which I think is pretty accurate. But remember Aerosoft ( and others) stand to gain a lot from a successful new sim (just trying to be objective.)

interesting short video by Squirrel who takes the Boeing 787 for a quick round robin before landing though he was, to say the least, a bit surprised as to how many inop switches there were including the cabin sign and he did not sound very pleased!!

 fair point.

Basically, functions that aren't necessary for flying aren't yet enabled. That includes opening doors on the default models.

I think they meant in flight, there are plenty of videos on YouTube with doors open on the ground. One of the developers was talking about opening the canopy in flight and the extra drag while he was flying an actual aircraft so I'm guessing they don't want to include the ability until they've got the flight modelling to reflect that.

Are you sure mate? I can’t get the doors to open on the jets at all, and there’s no assignments with “door” in the text atm.

You can see it on the A320 in this video, having said that I'm not sure if it's controlled by calling for the jetway rather than being a specific command.
