Classic British Flight Sim

I've just installed the updated version of this aircraft to P3Dv5 for which it is supposed now to be compatible. When I load it into the sim it loads OK and runs for about 10 seconds then the whole aircraft and flight deck goes black as does a lot of the outside scenery I've tried uninstalling then reloading it - no effect, tried the same release in FSX - works fine. I've checked through the folder structure for the aircraft and it all looks good but something is amiss!

Any ideas what might be happening?

I only just saw this, sorry for being so late!

I've had V2.02 running in P3DV5.2 for a while, and haven't experienced any problems. The only time I've had the display go all black on me was in heavy rain situations with "Dynamic Lighting" turned all the way up - it seems P3D doesn't like that combination. Any chance it was raining when you tried the F27 ?

If that's the case, just turn down or off the Dynamic Lighting on the "lighting" configurations...

Hi Mark,
It's a weird one this. I do have dynamic lighting switched on but all failures have occurred with summer time clear weather, I haven't tried any more demanding conditions. Oddly enough though if I start Windows10 and launch the sim then select the F27 it works fine, even for a flight. Any other time when the op system has been up for a few minutes it crashes to black shadows. I have reported it to Justflight and they are baffled.

Have you tried the old stand-by of deleting your shaders cache and seeing if the problem clears (!) up ?

No, I haven't tried that. What I have discovered is that there is a folder in each F27 aircraft folder called FOKKER_F27_CHECK_files which if renamed seems to sort the problem. I have reported this yesterday to Justflight and wait to see if they make any comment.

Update.

Having failed to get a stable session with the F27 and others I searched the internet to find that others had hit similar problems with other aircraft since installing the hotfix for V5.2. Looking on LM's site there is a minor update to V5.2 (5.2.22.27615) which I downloaded. I just updated the client and hey presto, the problem has gone away! I've run several flights with a variety of aircraft and have not encountered any problems with blacked out panels and scenery.
