Navigate? what's that then? I normally just fly around aimlessly until I see an airfield I like the look of or I get bored! :lol:

I keep a homing pigeon duct taped to the visor.. when he beats his wings im off course .. when he sets still I'm going the right way
.. once I had my little navigator die on me so I had to dead reckon it.

What I mean by navigating is getting from one place to another you know like GPS.

Shift+3 key should pop up the GPS.. sometimes it's shift+4.

That's what Radio frequencies and radios are for, that's how aircraft navigate from one place to another. GPS is a relatively new thing, and even in modern airliners, its still the radios that are used. GPS is just a nice way of seeing where you are on a map.

There are a lot of video tutorials on YouTube, Search for VOR navigation in FS...X or 9 whichever your pleasure.

Then locate the equipment in your plane and you'll be good to go.
