Hiya Keith :hello:

That 'sort of' fits in with how I remembered it. I'll re-write my memory accordingly   That said.. remembering something new always pushes something else into file 13 so god knows what I've just forgotten

DaveB wrote:Nige.. should you pop back.. I downloaded and tried the soundset linked to CalClassic and was a little disappointed.. more so as it's one of Gary Jones sets and I have the greatest admiration for his work. I fly the DC6 so rarely, it doesn't really matter so its not the end of the world ;)

Dave... Calclassic never wanted my originals which i thought sounded more like a DC6 than any others available at the time. Somebody borrowed some of the engine sounds and totally trashed the whole thing. So that set is nothing to do with me apart from a few samples. My set also included a beautiful tyre screech and springs sound on touchdown as well. If it wasn't for much loved pc crashes i'd still have them for others to share.

My early variants are still available at avsim for fs9 and apparently work well in fsx.

Ahh.. that makes complete sense. The little tinkers left your name associated with it and to be honest.. it didn't sound like one of your sets.

If I can get into Avsim.. I'll try the 'proper' file

As mentioned they are an early version but still sound ok, sadly i lost the best set. I'll download them myself and see if i can do any editing and bring them up to date. Not done any sound making for yonks so i can't promise anything will come of it.

This is the link and they are a bit big unfortunately

Hiya Gary :hello:

I managed to get into Avsim and have just spent a while whizzing around Cornwall listening to them. Much more fun and as with all your soundsets.. a keeper  TBH.. the ones at CalClassic didn't sound like you might have done them which is why I was shocked to see your name included in the readme :-O

Nige.. get your bum to Avsim and search for douglas_dc6_soundset.zip :tunes:

Hi Nige..

I got it from A2A themselves.. https://www.a2asimulations.com/ .. though other places sell it too. I doubt you'll find it discounted much if at all as it's pretty cheap already ;)

Guys, i've made a better DC-6 soundset but avsim and flightsim won't let me upload them for some reason even after many attempts :wall:
I have no idea how to get them to any of you?
