As awesome Chanukah gift for all of you, allow me to present a nice Chanukah flight full of sky beauty from EFRO Rovaniemi Airport located about 6 miles north of city centre of Rovaniemi to ENTC Tromsø Airport located on the western shore of the island of Tromsøya at Langnes in Tromsø, Norway.
Airborne on climb to FL300 to execute the specific flight plan consisted of waypoints: SITSO BISRO ATA RATUL HTK TRO22
Still climbing
You can see icing effects on engine and wings
Almost reaching FL300
Now cruising at FL300 to ATA via SITSO BISRO
Arctic Circle sky beauty
Almost reaching ATA where you can see waters of Arctic Ocean and northernmost shore of Arctic Circle
Intercepting ATA which signals time to descent to 10,000 ft and make left turn toward HTK on way to ENTC
Descending to 10,000 ft along northernmost shore of Norway bordering with waters of Arctic Circle
Now at 10,000 ft
Uh oh uh oh look at the problems of clouds covering mountains
Passing town of Oksfjordhamn where you can see Norway's highway E6 running through
Intercepting HTK and heading to ENTC. Mountains are going to pose problem!
At 7,000 ft
Got to maneuver around mountains to avoid them toward the airport
I have decided to take route along this river approach KDCA River 19 style to avoid hitting mountains
Flying past mountains above waters of some river
Unfortunately this river approach method did not work as there were HIGH hills on each of both ends of the runway!!! So gonna to approach the runway above the high hills!!
You can see the runway that is oddly also called runway 19!!!
After clearing and passing very high hill, time to execute steep London City airport style dive toward the runway!!
