V3 of Manfred's C47 now available...

Post by JohnWillimas »

The long awaited update of Manfred Jahn and crew's C-47 is now available at Sim Outhouse (in the FS-X Civilian Props Section) as a public Beta test. This includes a vintage style virtual cockpit and new and improved sounds, The server is pretty busy though so you may have problems getting in. I'm downloading it now.

I was going to post this but you beat me to it ;)

I've been in at SoH a few times this morning but on the last occasion, the server was busy.. due almost certainly to the release of both the v3 DC3 and Milton's new Mallard which was also released last night.

I've been trying for four hours to just access SOH. Wasting my time there, so I'm off to the pub.

If you're on Wi-Fi Dennis.. stay at the pub. The SoH server is still getting an almighty pounding :guinn:

Still trying. I can get as far as the download link, but nothing happens thereafter. What does annoy me, is that I can read the thread where a lot of non-members are saying thank you for a wonderful aircraft, and I, as someone who has donated year after year to the site, can't download it. In fact, I can't even post on that thread to vent my feelings.

After about a dozen refreshes, I got in and am downloading them both now. Too bad I just got to work and won't be able to play with them for about 12 hours, or this weekend more likely. Interesting that they went for a vintage cockpit. I have two DC-3's I regularly use and they are Jahn's C-47v2 and MAAM DC-3 package. I use Jahn's when I am looking for a more modern cockpit, so I am curious how I am going to like his new version.

SOH is currently enduring a hacker attack hence the issues getting in. Normal service will be resumed as soon as the idiots give up and go away.

Ner ner, I got it first try. Okay, I just happened to be at 4 a.m. when anyone sensible would have been abed. Haven't installed it yet though, so getting in there early was somewhat pointless.
