Cessna - Soloy

Post by Nigel H-J »

Downloaded the Cessna-Soloy from Simouthouse and found it to be an extremely nice aircraft to fly, the developers of this have certainly spent some time in making this a really great aircraft whether you want to lug loads of parcels and goodies around or take up parachutists or even fly the float plane version or just use it for pax carrying.

Some pics given below, flew from East Midlands with some parcels from the DHL site to Wickenby flying the Tundra version though weather was lousy and I was very late taking off, decided to fly visual nav instead of using the Garmin which is excellent by the way and with a top speed of around 145kts I am eating up the air miles. Found that taxying the aircraft it is best to use slight throttle then rely on the prop lever to increase or decrease speed. Also because of the turned up nose of this Cessna it does help to weave slighty to ensure nothing is directly in front of you.

External shot of the Cessna-Soloy, as I am over Lincoln have switched on all lights as now in the Waddington Matz.

Internal shot from the co-pilots seat giving a good view of the intrument panel.

Turning final approach, just made it as Wickenby has no night landing facilities available.

Now all I need is to find some volunteers to help me off-load this lot!!
Then home for tea!

Joe,
Have you physically inspected that card? :worried:
Mrs A was having all sorts of problems.
I pulled the cover off and brushed a heap of fine dust out of the nooks & crannies on her video card.
Going without problems since. :cpu:

It's a bit harder to work on since it's a laptop. The machine is about 4-5 years old now and had the same problem but much worse while it was still under warranty, Dell ended up replacing the motherboard to fix it. If it continues to be a problem I could always get a USB sound card or it might just be my excuse to get a new system.
