Grumman F9F-8 Cougar?

Post by FlyTexas »

It looks like Rob Richardson might be working on a Grumman F9F-8 Cougar. :excited: If that model sees the light of day I can leave this earth a happy man. Seriously. :)

Yes I've lost interest in the TSR2 once again!
The Cougar, on the other hand, I find very interesting.
A few different models to consider, all with hooks!
Lots of re-paint possibilities.
And its a little bit British!

I understand the feeling, you work on something for a while and eventually it starts to feel like 'work', best to set it aside and do something fun for a while. Which ever one you release first its going to be fun.

Another nostalgic image, reminding me of my Airfix builds. :)
Good on you Rob!

I think the Panthers and Cougars were very handsome aircraft, so this is great to see. Rob, any chance of the two seater at some point - the F9F-8T ? It's the best looking of the lot, I think.

Dave B would have loved this. :)

I've had a few requests for the two seater, I agree it is a nice looking aircraft.
When/if the single seater is finished I'll have a go at it.
I have the drawings needed for all models plus a lot of other information people have sent me.
I think I should mention, at this point, that I no longer have FSX on my system and I have "Blender" set up for P3Dv4 only.

So the Cougar would be for P3Dv4 only, when released? (lower lip beginning to quiver)
