One of our aircraft is missing!

Post by RAF_Quantum »

Hi Guys,

Just a quick one to ask you to be vigilant for aircraft disappearring from the fleet and let me know if you notice any anomolies.

Recently, I noticed that we were missing an SVC10. I managed to track down the aircraft ID and there was the 'remains' of the aircraft information on FlyNET but it had effectively been removed from the visible database. Konny replaced it with a new airframe.

This morning, a quick glance at the Traders List at FlyNET and I noticed a BA11 for sale - G-AVOF ! A look at our fleet page and it was indeed missing and was 'For Sale' on the Traders List with no owner being shown. I've purchased it back, e-mailed Konny and posted a 'warning' on the FlyNET forum. http://flynet.en-studios.de/forum/viewt ... 5335#15335

Hmmmmmmm......You shouldn't have had to buy it back.

I hope you can get a refund.

This is bloody odd. Do you think it might be that this new code.. the one that bin's inactive pilots after 90days is perhaps taking out aircraft too?? No.. that doesn't seem logical otherwise I'm sure we'd have more than 2 go missing :dunno:

Let us know what Konny has to say John

Hi,

Konny is looking into it, but doesn't know the reason/s yet. The cash used to buy it back has been credited back to us.

Sounds like something a bit more sinister Dave. I can't see how the pilot removal code would move an AC to the for sale list as they are different tables in the database.

If you've gotta nightstop at EGGP then take a sleeping bag and kip on the aircraft.
