'Emergency' bug

Post by RAF_Quantum »

Hi guys,

Not sure if this will get fixed before we go live with FSAirlines so this is for your info.

We haven't ever had the luxury of being able to divert due to emergencies or weather, but we do now. In the client window once you have started your flight, you will see a red buttton 'Emergency'. If you want to divert - press it! If you are quick and have screen messages selected in the client you may see a message back in flight sim which says you can land at any airport. If you don't see that message don't worry. In the client window, once pressed, the button dissappears. This means that your declaration of an emergency has been registered and you may land at any airfield without a penalty for landing at wrong airport. When you land at your diversion airfield end the flight as normal. A flightplan is auto-generated for you to continue to your destination without you having to do a thing. Continue the flight when you are able. Now for the BUG :-

When you divert and end your flight, the flight doesn't get reported. When you continue on to your original destination, then the flight gets reported and appears on your log-book and everywhere else it shows. However, the hours/penalties/fuel expenditure for the first leg do not get recorded. So if, for example, you book KJFK-EGLL and divert to EGKK and then continue from EGKK to EGLL, only the hours logged from EGKK-EGLL appear. Any fuel you bought at KJFK is free and any penalties incurred also get lost. The guys at FSA know of this and I hope they will patch to Beta04 to sort it out before we go live. In the meantime - don't divert if you want the hours.

Regards

John
