Hi Bob..

Which green bar are you talking about mate?? Do you mean the new client green bar or one from within flightsim (Display Flying Tips)??

i think it uses the original green bar

it used to give the ATIS text if you wanted it, or status of doors opeing and such like

having flown the new client in FS9 and FSX, it missing in FS9, possible because i turned it off a while ago but cant remember how

Hiya Bob..

Right.. OK mate. It's been a while for me too.. in fact I can't recall a green text line in 2004 other than for ATIS and is/was the ATIS line green?? . Other crap tends to come up (should you have the option on) as 'Display Flying Tips' and that's generally a blue/grey task bar with opaque box slung beneath it. I'll have to go and have a look Bob but I can't recall this being an option

Hi Mate, If your meaning your not seeing the alerts from the fsairlies client, have you selected it in the options on the client and clicked Save?

If you have purchased FSUIPC there is a setting where you can turn it of and on.

In the free version you might also have set it in the fsuipc.ini file?

Or scroll through the fs9.cfg and find:

HideInfoText=1

and set it to 0 instead ;-)

That should do the trick.

Same in FSX by the way.

NB. If you don't have the setting, place it under the [SIM] section.

Hi Ben..

I think Bob IS seeing the alerts in the FSA Client and this is what prompted him to want to see 'native' FS prompts come up in the same way. The only things I can get to show (native) are door opening, door open, door closing, door closed, tailhook extending e t c as well as ATC and these show anyway (with the exception of ATC which I don't use thank you very much) It's been such a long time since I've heard of getting rid of the top line I'd forgotten it could be done.. if indeed it can simply by fiddling in the FS9 cfg

Sorry mate.. been too long and can't recall trying to move it in the first place.

Edit.. tks Dan

Actually.... I seem to remember there is a line in the fs9 (or fsx).cfg file that can switch it off or on.
