Status was good (98%+) & still is 98%

Oddly the engine state is the same for both, I would have expected one to be down. And the engines are the best of the four parameters shown there.
Can we know for sure if it is FSA induced?

Hello Mate..

Well.. the only surefire guaranteed check I know of is 'could the engine be restarted'?? If it couldn't, then it's almost certainly FSA induced. If it could, then some other phenomina is responsible. Seems that the maint life is high for this sort of thing to happen but I seem to remember reading somewhere that the induced failure prog 'as was' became unrealistic to some degree as folk (like us) wouldn't get any failure if the airframes were kept in good order. Whether anything was done about it I honestly couldn't say but if the engine wouldn't start.. I guess they HAVE fiddled and simply made them random. A little disconcerting! :think:

I didn't try to start the engine again, but it was switched to Relight anyway so it must have been failed by FSA.

Hi Guy's..

Think I've just had an induced engine failure on Halifax G-ALEF (99.7% or was at the time) :o Had just landed at Wunstorf from Gatow and nipped outside to look for the turnoff. Not long after, No.1 cut and refused to start. I was able to clear the runway.. park and end the flight though No.1 remained dead. FOB 699kg. Glad it happened when it did as that flight was done at 1000ft

port engine quit just as i rotated in F27- G-STAN..the famous V1 cut..lurched into low cloud to discover i had also lost all electrics, stbd generator would not reset, so motored/windmilled the port engine which gave me the port generator and hence instruments, flicked on the elec emergency power switch and did a single engine return to base on one engine. port engine would not relight or start, both fuel gauges read zero although fuel was present. a fairly exciting 10 mins, about time Fsairlines had some excitment not self induced...i was getting blase' about pre takeoff final checks (got in the habit when using FSpassengers)

i might just have to re-learn some good habits...

gear failed on the wessex helicopter, practical result was i could not land on the oil rigs since i sank through the landing pad

Hi Guy's..

Had trouble getting a T2 out of Dusseldorf for Manchester (took 5 attemps.. 3 BSOD's on one pc and a further 'hungapp' on another)! :roll: Anyway.. at touchdown EGCC, green info line reported 'Engine failure.. 1 on fire' (this immediately after 'Landed') :o Not much to do except taxi off the runway and apply the brakes. Have checked aircraft and it has gone from 98.1 to 98 as expected. No penalty to airline ;-)
