Well.. sort of.. it basically does the work of a woman.. eg, it talks to everyone then to itself if no one is available for comment :lol:

Ben..
Did you read the readme file ref Vista?? Apparently, you have to be in Administrator Mode in order for it to register :think: :roll:

Yep, read the readme, but i still can't get it to work. :think:

RE the flight planner... pen and paper. I hate the default one. :wink:

Pen and Paper :shock: I'd love to believe you mate :wink:

OK.. panic then. As I never leave home without FSNav and there is no sign of an FSX version.. a quick trawl shows that FSBuild has FSX comp. I know I recommend this prog as an alternative to FSN but I know little about it. Time to invest me thinks :wink:

Concur Ben. Having just done my first 3 VA flights in FSX.. it almost equals flying blindfold. The default stuff is the same shoddy FS9 poo and doesn't warrant any more of my time :huf:

Will add FSB to basket and see what's what :wink:

I have seen somewhere a utility able to convert fs9 flight plans to FSx's.

So a workaround could be to make the flight plan in FS9. convert it to FSX and then fly in FSX....a bit of a troublesome route I concur but it should be possible.

You'd have to fly using the GPS instead of FSNav though once in FSX....

Reagrding FSUIPC...

FS= FlightSim

IPC= InterProcess Communication...

I think the U stands for User ....

A "simple" add-on that allows to interact with running processes.

In the FSX MS has delivered Simconnect as part of the SDK, that basically does the same.

In fact. FSUIPC v.4 only uses SimConnect more or less thus the unregistered version works. The registered version should give you access to more utilities built in the FSUIPC (eg. joystick handling/calibration, weather tampering and the like). But you should be well off using the unregistered version because of the above mentioned.

I hope this cleared the clouds a bit?

Btw. Have you converted Dave?
