If you can pull a schedule together Paul that would be great We would need Joe to create an a/c type in the database before any routes could be entered. I would think we could buy at least 2 to start with. Maybe base one in Lhr and the other in East Midlands See what the demand is for the aircraft
I've not got a dc9 but like the looks of the Cool sky. Looks complex enough without being silly

Great,

I've looked at the routes and got a block of 6 return destinations for East Midlands and Heathrow.

I'd suggest the training routes come from the Heathrow block as the 3rd set has a longer flight as most training routes seem to have.
I've no flight numbers, but here's the schedules for 2 aircraft;

0600 EGNX-EGPD
0800 EGPD-EGNX
1000 EGNX-EHAM
1130 EHAM-EGNX
1300 EGNX-EGAA
1430 EGAA-EGNX
1600 EGNX-EBBR
1740 EBBR-EGNX
1915 EGNX-EIDW
2045 EIDW-EGNX
2215 EGNX-EGPF
2345 EGPF-EGNX

0500 EGLL-EHAM
0630 EHAM-EGLL
0800 EGLL-EGAA
0940 EGAA-EGLL
1100 EGLL-ENBR
1330 ENBR-EGLL
1600 EGLL-EBBR
1730 EBBR-EGLL
1900 EGLL-EIDW
2030 EIDW-EGLL
2200 EGLL-EGNM
2330 EGNM-EGLL

The first two DC9-30s they acquired were GBMAK and GBMAM both of which are free in our fleet.

If you need any more from me, let me know. Sadly I'm away from home at the minute so can't start testing that the times fit until next week, but they look ok to me.

I'm certain that EGNX-EGPF was operated by VC8 but lets not be picky.

EGLL-EGPF-EGLL and EGLL-EGPH-EGLL were almost hourly in direct competition to BA Shuttle

Hi Ady,

The schedule I have found is for 1995 so with the VC8s retired in 1988 from BM I assume the DC9s got it, maybe the ATPs.

Like I said, we can reflect the frequency, but that will require a lot of aircraft- at least this lets us trial it.

They had 146’s and 360 / 330’s in the 80’s from memory. Not sure how long they had them though. I don’t recall the 330 or 146 in the dark blue livery, but I think the 360’s had it.

I know its not conclusive by any means, but I did a quick search on airliners.net for BM at EGNX and there were only 2 photos, so I dont think East Mids was a regular stop for them.

I found a 1995 British Midlands timetable on ebay for about 3 quid, I should get it next week, which seams close to the time they had the most DC-9's in there fleet. So if nobody finds better information before then, I will try to come up with some routes.

They operated both the DC-9-10 and DC-9-30, should I look for a couple of each or would it be OK if I just got a couple -30's.

Hi Joe :hello:
I've added routes that Paul suggested from Heathrow and 6 training flights. CNB8520 to CNB8525 and CNBT846 to CNBT851 To enter them into the database I have them as DC10 flights. This will need editing when we have DC 9 in the database. Please feel free to alter them or add to them when your timetable arrives, but at least it's a start.
Not sure about how many airframe we need. I suppose depend how popular they become. I know we are trying to reduce our active fleets, but perhaps we push the boat out and get 2 of each type.
