HS780 Cabin Preasure

Post by TSR2 »

Hi Guys,

I'll be buggered if I can find the gauge for adjusting the cabin alt on the 780.... Checked the docs and I can't see the gauge... I'm sure its there in the 748. Just had a though, does it not show if the aircraft is set for freight config?

Hi Ben..

The honest answer is I really don't know mate but.. you know Fraser :worried: I'd have thought a certain amount of cabin pressure adjustment would be available, even reduced but I don't fly the 780 enough to remain au fait and not in FSX *-) I know the 748 got a certain amount of FSX treatment but I can give a firm 'no comment' with regard to the 780 :wasntme:

Hi Dave, The gauge is in the manual... at least a pic of it and the description of how to use it, and its in the VC (just not clickable) so I can only assume it doesn't show when in freight mode *-)

Hi Ben

Sorry if this isn't applicable in FSX.... can't answer for the VC, but the gauge is visible and usable on the 780 2D panel..... just bring up the window with the (middle right) arrow and the gauge is on top of the pop-up panel. It works regardless of pax/cargo config switch position, on 748 or 780.

Hi Jim,

Yep, I can see that bit, but there is no way to adjust the cabin alt on that part of the panel. Page 13 of the manual shows another gauge for adjustment...

Its this gauage on the left I can't find as this seems to be where you make the adjustment *-)

Perhaps an FSX issue Ben? As you can see, it's at the top (not side) on the popup panel in my screenie. Adjustments made by the R/H dial and rate with the L/H

Hi Ben,

I'm sure I remember a post about this or something similar a while back where something had to be done by adding a pixel or adjusting the size of a bitmap to get it to display.......or I may have been dreaming it.

Regards

John

Hi Ben,

Just found it, this was the thread I remembered, it talks about the 748 but the same fix may work for the 780.

Ah, cheers John. I actually found that the reason i couldn't get it to work in the VC was that it was a bit bumpy on the flight and I kept missing the click area! :wall:  Glad I wasn't imagining the issue in the 2D :cpu:
