Concorde Barbados

We don't seem to have a Concorde service to Barbados, any chance of implementing this route?

I don't see any reason why not. I don't have Concorde installed in any shape or form on this pc so I'll go back to the FS9 system and look at routings and times.

The Concorde SST site says the flight time was 3hrs 50mins yet shows the Dep/Arr times as 3hrs 15mins! We generally add 10mins at either end for taxi out/in-routing-f@rting around which would give an overall target time of 3hr35m. Would you be happy with that?

Hi Paul :)

Should that be the case (and I've no reason to doubt it) I'd be inclined to go for an overall time of 4hrs to keep it simple. This would probably require one end of the flight starting/ending at or near the runway though so I'm not sure if you'd like to go with that. The LHR-Barbados flight isn't in my newest BA timetable (1983) 8) I guess I could give it an overall time of 4hr10m.. this should give a more reasonable safety margin *-)

Hi Dave,

On most occasions the taxy out for take off at Heathrow is very short to 27L from the BA Terminal so that might be ok.

Yes indeed.. it's gate at T4 was only a smidge away from 27L but I'm not sure what the run-in time would be at Barbados. Dunno if you fancy doing a trial flight first.. I don't want to leave anyone short on time but on the other hand.. I don't want to give too much time either *-)

Hello Dave,

I can do a trial if you like. Mrs C is on nights mid-week this week so I should be able to get an answer by then. :cpu:

Yes.. you don't need any interruptions from cabin crew  I think I'll just go for 4hr10m overall. This fits in with the 3hr50min Concorde SST quoted plus our default 20min (10min either end).

Right.. let me have a quick look at our Concorde routes and flight numbers ;)

EDIT: OK.. Concorde LHR-BGI added. Dep LHR 0930, Arr BGI 1340. Dep BGI 1545, Arr LHR 2005. Any problems with this, let me know and I'll adjust accordingly ;)
