DM Trident in FSX

Post by adysmith »

I flew this aircraft with some success in FS9, but as my PC has progressed to FSX I decided to install it and give it a go.

I have three problems:-

1) Where is the Pitot Heat switch?
2) I can't raise or lower the gear
3) I can't raise or lower the flaps.

Any ideas?

Ady,

Can't think re 1 off the top of my head, but gear and flaps work fine for me in FSX using the default keystrokes.

*edit* pitot is on the overhead at the left http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk/html/Tride ... al_OHP.htm

Yep, found the pitot heat, but it is as if I have got no hydraulics.

Yoke buttons don't work, default keystrokes don't work.

Hi Ade :hello: Don't think you can turn the hydraulics on or off on the trident. Just make sure the default start up a/c in fsx has them switched on, if it has hydraulics that is

There are three big Hydraulic system levers in the roof panel...Like everything in the Trident it is "Triplex" :)

I thought they were down low by the F/E from my assorted jump seat rides on Tridents :agree:

I reistalled the Tridents into FSX yesterday following the "Installing DM's aircraft into FSX" post.
It works perfectly for me.
I'm not sure where you might be going wrong.

That looks like it was the problem, I had just flown the RJ100 before, and part of parking chacklist is to power off the hydraulics, which I did, so when I loaded up the Trident there was no hydraulic power.

Restarted FSX this morning and I have flaps and gear :)

Just as a matter of interest, after shutting down the 1-11 in Dubrovnik this morning, I swapped over to trident 3 where the hydraulics were functional even with the engines and apu off :dunno:
