G-BKYE

Post by Diyceejay » 03 Jan 2019, 22:29

Apologies... would be grateful if this could be repaired?

Reasons:
1. My first flight with the 737;
2. vatsim twr at EGKK was a student being examined;
3. Lost my concentration as he cleared me to t/o with another a/c about to land on me, which was going around 50 feet above me.

Not an excuse to lose my concentration though -
remorseful

Hi Chris :hello: The aircraft shouldn't have suffered any virtual damage as it was a training flight. G BYKE is still showing 99.3% serviceability. However to get the a/c out of Redhill you will need a route creating. Strange it didn't create a follow on flight to Bristol. Hopefully Joe will pop by soon

P.S. I always press exc and abort the flight before hitting the ground :lol:

So we need a temporary route out of EGKR, where to? Back to EGKK?

On the basis that the longest "runway" at Redhill is only 897 metres of grass I would say a crane is required!

Maybe if it just has three litres of fuel and absolutely no pax (and take all the seats out as well) it might maybe just make it to Gatwick but I certainly wouldn't try it!

Old pilots never die, they just run out of runway.

Good job I'm not sensitive! Love the banter...
I did hit esc having learnt the hard (and humiliating) way on the 1-11. Didn't work this time sadly, or else I wasn't quick enough.
Thanks fellas
