Type Rating Training Complete

Post by saltysplash »

Hi Chaps

Ive just completed the training on the HS748 and if its satisfactory could I also include the 780?

I understand I can apply for a new Type Rating once ive done 10 money runs on the 748 and i would possibly be looking towards the DC3 however I see that there are no aircraft available on the initial training route.
Not wanting to jump ahead of myself but what would be the procedure for getting a DC3 back to Manchester for the training?

Many thanks

Hiya Geoff :)

Well done on the 748 ;) We used to give the 780 'on completion' of 748 training but some didn't want to fly it and it was 'another' rating to keep in date. However.. if you want it, you can have it too :)

I'll take a look at the DC3 training routes and if there isn't one available for you to do a TR at it's training base.. I'll move one there for you. ;)

Hi Geoff :)

No need for further training. The 2 types are so similar, there's no additional type rating necessary. I've given you full ratings for both ;)

As for the DC3, I've transferred an aircraft to Manchester.. it'll be there later today. Get those 10 revenue flights on the 748 out of the way (you can do 780 flights too) then give one of us a shout here and we'll allocate a training rating for the DC3 ;)

EDIT: As you're now a qualified pilot.. all subsequent TR's will require only 4 flights ;)
