That's a good spot Ben and bang on as far as I can see.

Geoff.. why would you be using Metres :dunno: If you have metres set and click on shift+Z, the red readout line puts an M after the altitude figure. All the clues are there mate *-) Unless you're a Russian or flying over Russia.. use US setting (feet, Inches).

I've just looked at the default DC3 and other than it is what it is, I can't see anything wrong with it. With metres set, the alt correctly displays metres and with feet set, it correctly displays feet. Difficult to see how you've not been 'pinged' before now if you've had metres set.

Anyhoo.. don't worry about it. Take it on the chin and make sure your settings are US (feet, inches) ;)

No worries Geoff

I've just realised your only other VA flights have been in the 748/780 and you wouldn't have realised what a difference having your settings to metres would have made as the altimeter is calibrated in feet only. The altimeter in the DC3 has dual calibration coding so if you set metres, it will read in metres. If you set it to feet, it will read in feet. The 748 alt is 'old school' feet only regardless of what your setting is. ;)

Thanks chaps,

All is now well and I did a full re-install into a new folder outside of the programs folder and FSX is running fine now with sliders maxed. No stuttering and no CTD's :excited:
