New GCI scenery for FSX

Post by DaveB »

Hi Guy's,

Stumbled over a very nice little scenery for Guernsey (FSX). Lots of detail and not bad on framerates. It represents the 'New' GCI layout and the file can be found at Allnodes filename: guernsex.zip

Not the best name chosen.... ;-) although I do not know what a "guern" is...

I think it is also more or less similar to the same made for FS9

Is that the one with the large pond going up the cliff to the SE of the airport?

Yes Dan.. it looks very similar to that shown in a shot you posted a while back of a VC10 (unsurprisingly) parked up there  Default airports are so dull when you're used to seeing something vaguely realistic, this is my first 'addon' for FSX so I'll be spending a lot of time here

It IS in fact the same. Just checked. Tim Clayton's the Author, and this is the FSX-version of the very same.

I have a lot of scenery ripped off for both FS9 and FSX. Free of course, and NOT the Chile project which seem to the untrained eye to be almost the only freeware scenery available for FSX atm. If you want the whole Chile installed I think it calls for additional 5 pr 6 HDD's... ;-)

Where is Allnodes

Post by Christhekeeper »

Hi Guys

Excuse the ignorance but where is Allnodes? :dunno:

Have the FS9 scenery (via justflight) and would like for FSX, being a Guernseyman by birth and would prefer to fly out of an airport that is something approaching the real thing.

Cheers
Chris

Insider know how

Hi Dan & Jonathan,

Thanks for that - I'll count myself as an 'insider' now - I also have to say that I've always struck lucky when signing on to 'allnodes'.

About to update scenery & take a look.

Cheers
Chris
