New Nvidia drivers today

Post by Seaking »

Now that I have what I think is a decent card 8800GTS 512, just saw there are new WHQL drivers today from Nvidia themselves

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_175.19_whql.html

Hope it helps

Hi Jonesey

Agreed last one for me was total rubbish with CTDs in FSX even with terrain.dll which after searching the net turned out to be the NV driver.

not bothering with this one until i see some 8800GTX/Ultra users say it's a good'un

Regards
Rick

I got them last night after reading the first post but only tried them out in Armed Assault and they seemed to work OK. I will check out FSX later to see how they perform. I was interested to see your mention of CTDs Rick as I too have had some of those recently but put it down to some messing around I had been doing while beta testing....maybe it was the drivers causing it and not anything I did. :dunno:

Seems decent with my 9800GTX (8800GTS in drag) but I've got some minor lighting issues in some other games.

The rest of us nursing our historical cards will stick to historical drivers ;-)

At the moment I'm still on 175.16 and they are working a treat in all games I have, I may take the bull by the
horns though and see what they are like.

My last card 7950GT only liked 94.16 strange things drivers.

I used the international one or (UK English) ... seems pretty good to me but then again...

I always tend to stay out of the US-ones....

Installed and FPS dropped by 2/3rds :@

Can't think of any thing else that would have caused it.

Isn't System Restore wonderful?
