I can honestly see XP catching and passing FSX and P3D in terms of user numbers. There is only so long that dated platform can hang on.

It's good to see the likes of Orbx planning their next gen products with the initial releases planned for XP and not FSX/P3D. Yes it's a big decision to leave behind the investments made in FSX but if I stuck to that mindset, I'd still be flying with FS98.
A bird in the hand will probably sh!t on your wrist.

Think I have worked out what I am going to do..............Buy P3Dv4 this year then next year move onto X Plane 11. I know I could do it the other way round but.........With ORBX addons plus new True Earth UK coming out sometime this year I might as well make the most of what I have got.

Towards the end of this year will have another look at X Plane 11 and with any luck sometime in 2019 will have both on my system.

Many thanks for all your comments and advice, it certainly has given me food for thought.
