Thanks - that's more than I got from LR. However, if the Steam-XP11 follows the same method as the LR-online-XP11 then it's not just a case of an online check at start-up.

Oh well - another idea goes up the spout . . .

Hang on in there Ro, just found this that may help you go down to the 4th comment (at the bottom).

Hope this helps even more!

Thanks and, yes, it does, but it raises an interesting conundrum - do we believe LR, or do we believe a Steam user, because both cannot be true ! Take your pick . . .

I did mean to try it off line, but got carried away downloading ortho tiles! I'll try it tomorrow when time allows.

Tried XP offline. Unplugged the PC & started Steam. A box popped up asking if I wanted to go in offline mode. Selected Yes.
Started XP, & it ran normally. Flew around for a bit, no obvious problems.

Hi Chaps, I have recently installed 2 add-ons that has for me, given a much better look/experience with X Plane 11.

I tried various settings with re-shaders but could not get it perfect so uninstalled it and found on X Plane.Org website FS Enhancer. After downloading the 4 items and trying them out I decided to just use 2 of them TrueHaze and TrueShade and nothing else added, see screenshots below. Links given at the bottom.

If you do want to try them out then just make sure you copy the folder bitmaps which can be found in Resources Folder so that if you are not happy with something you can copy and paste the original effects back into the necessary folder.

Click on screenshots for larger view.

The other add-on is Airport Environment HD by Mr X6 well worth downloading as it enhances all default airports be it in Orbx True Earth or the default X Plane 11 Scenery.

Thanks for the HU Nigel, I'll give those a shot. At the moment I'm a bit underwhelmed by XP. Although it does have many good features, I'm finding it a bit disappointing.
