Windows 10 updated itself yesterday and now Microsoft Excel refuses to play.
Type something into a column and screen goes blank and comes back with a "recovered" version. Type into the next box and it just dies.
Any ideas most welcome or I'm going to be unable to keep my data bases up to date.

Re: Win 10 update
W 10 update happened Tuesday, don't know what the version number is though, but my Excel seems OK Graham. Excel Version is 2010 but saved in 97 format.

Cheers Keith.
I was pointed towards Open Office by our Gen. Sec. That seems to have solved my problem.

That'll teach me, never take the Mickey out of MSoft. I realised earlier this afternoon that my MyBook WD External HD's were not working. It was the devil of a job getting them recognised again.

Re: Win 10 update
After a few months of problem free flying, this latest update screwed my screen settings, and stopped one of the monitors from being displayed. Tried the usual, rebuilt fsx cfg, messed around with nvidia settings All I succeeded in was slowing it to a snail's pace
This afternoon I restored to the previous build , rebuilt fsx cfg again and back in business
Disabled auto updated by changing Wi-Fi to a metered connection This at least should stop it uploading anything in the background, then found out how to disable updates altogether.
Would have gone back to win 7, as the sim ran most stable for years, but moving forward, if I ever get round to the upgrade i'm promising myself , the latest Intel chipsets only ship with w10 drivers
