Which ATC Programme

Post by simondix »

Doing quite a bit of VFR flights I wonder which ATC programme for P3Dv4 is best. Radar Contact and PF3 are good but seem to be purely IFR. Anybody use any of the others. I have looked at the truial version of Pilot2ATC but I have windows 7 and to buy more voices is a bit prohibitive. I also use Ultimate Traffic so would like that to be able to work as well.

Hi Simon, I was going to suggest Pilot to ATC as that is configured for use with Radar Contact and the default ATC and can be used for VFR flying but Radar Contact is now freeware. My flying is also mostly VFR and do not bother with ATC just as we did for real in the 1970's.

Be interested to know of any other ATC that is freeware.

Nigel.

Hi Simon, Hope it is not my age but am sure that Pilot to ATC can be used with default ATC on FSX, P3D and also Radar Contact. I had at one time thought about buying it as you can speak to ATC on those I listed and as you are looking for VMC flights then Pilot to ATC might be the better option and just speak to the default ATC.

Thanks for your input.

Yes, I did use default ATC for chatter yesterday but I have now found some chatter that you have to pay for but is a lot better and is still a WIP.

I will get Pilot2ATC when my 10 day trial is up. It is very immersive.

Pleased to hear that Simon, I did try it some time ago and was impressed but never got round to buying it.

Nigel.
