Just Ordered.

There has been a lot of good reviews on this yoke and have been looking for something to replace my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for a few months now and after reading the reviews and watching videos I decided this was one to go for and coupled with a 5 year warranty I am very much looking forward to it arriving soon.

I know there are others such as the Fulcrum as Paul had pointed out and also the Yoko but both of these are a tad too much for my wallet especially as next year, I will be looking at buying a virtual reality headset.

I was going for the Rift 'S' this year but on hearing that the Oculus Quest hand tracking will be released early next year I am waiting to see if it will work in X-Plane 11 as well as other platforms and if so, it will be amazing to be able to just use your fingers instead of a controller. If not then it will be back to plan A.

Regards
Nigel.

Oooh, I like the magneto switch, Nigel!
Throttle quadrant etc. look good, but out of my budget, even in 2020. :|

Hi Mike, the only thing about the magneto switch is that it is for a single engine aircraft, don't know how it will work with twin props but guess you can select 1 and 2 engine with a keyboard stroke. As for the throttle quadrant I have the CH Throttle Quadrant which will do nicely.

Certainly will Simon, I have found out that there are drivers for this yoke that support P3d and FSX, with X-Plane 11 no drivers are needed as the sim already supports the Honeycomb. Will install the drivers which can be obtained here: https://flyhoneycomb.com/drivers/

Expecting delivery tomorrow and may be sometime around the weekend that I will post my thoughts as will need to assign new commands to it for FSX.

Regards
Nigel.

Austin Meyer (XP) gets quite animated about it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlkHh9zlxIk

This fellow does quite an in depth largely +ve review upon it. https://www.youtube.com/user/keysounddotcom/videos

Personally I would get one too if I didn't already have the Saitek Cessna version but cannot possibly risk the ire and derision from you know who. "you want what?" It seems we are getting a new stove instead and the living room needs decorating. :S
