Thanks Charlie Bravo, now you have really put the cat amongst the pigeons here..............On what you have said about AMD2 I may now wait until the end of the month to see what the prices are in comparison to the 939...........My only concern is how much more is the AMD2 going to cost against the present 939 and also say in two or three years time what problems will there be upgrading a 939 motherboard? OK........... the 99 dollar question is........what do you think?

Regards Nigel

Is Nvidia on your list CB?

I used to be a solid ATI man in the R300 days but after the 6800's came out I defected over to the dark side

In 2 or 3 years, AM2 may well have been replaced and 939 won't die off overnight. AM2 without a doubt will cost more money so I'd be more tempted to go with a Socket 939 setup.

Also, did you just want the base unit or the lot?
I can spec you a PC when I get home later this evening once I know that.

Hi Charlie Bravo

I have speakers, will need new mouse and keyboard but add a 19 inch monitor on that (already have a 17 inch but may upgrade) if the price is right!!

Do you want a CRT or TFT (Normal or flat)? I'll do specs with and without a monitor with a max of £900.
Check back from 20:00 this evening.
